Aspida is seeking an experienced network cybersecurity professional to lead security configurations, audits, and risk management across IT and OT environments. You will develop baseline configurations, evaluate policies, and mentor engineers.

You should have 5–8 years in IT/OT security, strong Fortinet expertise (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP), and fluency in Dutch, English, and French. This role offers a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, cybersecurity, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of IT/OT security experience with a focus on network security.
• Fluent in Dutch, English, and French.
• Hands-on Fortinet experience: FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP.
• Knowledge of SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention, IAM, and remote access.
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, governance.
• Independent worker and strong team player with maturity.

You are an experienced network cybersecurity professional who not only responds to threats but also actively works to prevent them. You enjoy taking ownership of complex security projects and overseeing them from start to finish. Others rely on your expertise, and you thrive in a role that offers responsibility and makes a real difference.

This will be your challenge:

• Developing and submitting security configurations and operational standards for security systems and applications, including policy evaluation and compliance tools;
• Developing and proposing baseline security configurations for operating systems, applications, and network and communications equipment;
• Conducting technical security audits;
• Analyzing log files and monitoring security;
• Proactively collaborating with clients to provide high-quality advice and assurance regarding management and technical challenges within cybersecurity and IT and OT risks;
• Identifying, analyzing, and translating cybersecurity and IT/OT risks into practical solutions;
• Communicating relevant cybersecurity and IT/OT risk issues and recommendations to internal and external IT professionals;
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the further development of internal security practices.

How do we see our future Cyber Warrior:

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, engineering, or equivalent experience:
• You have at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in IT and/or OT security, with a strong focus on network security;
• You are fluent in Dutch, English, and French;
• You have demonstrable hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions; this is a must. In particular, you are familiar with FortiGate (firewalling, VPN, segmentation), FortiSwitch (network switching and management), and FortiAP (wireless access and security);
• You are familiar with methods and tools for security risk management, network protocols, and application communication;
• You have a good knowledge of the following security technologies: SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, security information and event management, identity and access management, remote access methods, wireless protocols, and services;
• You have a solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery methodologies, business continuity planning, and governance;
• You can work independently but are also a true team player;
• Maturity and a professional approach are essential for us.
