We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable engineer to join our client's IP/Security integration team active in Belgium since 2000.
The IP/Security integration team is a technical team of experts responsible for identifying, designing, delivering, integrating and maintaining Ethernet/IP solutions based on a number of leading-edge products and technologies from our technological partners like Cisco and Fortinet.
We serve customers like nearly all governmental organizations, utility companies, railways, universities & high schools, harbours, service providers and several well‑known datacenters.
Main Responsibilities
- The core tasks of this role revolve around the design, implementation, validation, configuration, monitoring of IP/Security network solutions for our customers.
- Keep level of knowledge up to date with IP standards and get certified on our partner’s technical solutions (e.g. Cisco & Fortinet).
- Use management systems to monitor the real time operation of the network and respond appropriately on alarms and informational messages.
- Participation in 24/7 monitoring rotation performing in-depth analysis of issues to find root-causes and implement solutions to resolve problems.
- Guide our field support team during installation and maintenance activities.
- Collect and report daily performance statistics from the network in order to recognize performance trends and propose improvement actions if needed.
- Provide technical engineering and architectural assistance to project teams.
- Coordinate and interact with customer, peers and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Perform site inspections on recently completed construction projects.
- Schedule and track various preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
- Verify and update documentation of engineered systems.
- Implement changes to new or existing products and features.
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow safety protocols and safe work practices.

- You are able to give technical presentations to make our products, technologies and solutions more understandable and accessible for customers.
- You have a driver license.
- You have an engineering degree and/or CCNA .
- You can communicate in Dutch, English & French
Nice to have
- Knowledge and/or practical experience in engineering IP/Security networks, in general telecommunications or computer infrastructures is a plus, but not a requirement if you are willing to learn.
