Pauwels Consulting seeks a senior backend professional to enhance an identity orchestration platform. The role focuses on maintaining backend components and steering a transition to cloud-native architecture using serverless and containerized solutions.

You will design secure cloud modules, support IAM developments, and collaborate with architects to translate requirements into robust specifications while handling incidents and vulnerabilities in a distributed, international team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience with C# and .NET.
• Extensive Azure cloud development experience including Functions and Container Apps.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills and relational database design.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and JSON services.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps CI/CD and Git workflows.
• Knowledge of secure cloud development practices and Azure Key Vault.
• Familiar with Agile environments and DevOps culture.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsabilités

Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is seeking a senior professional to enhance their identity orchestration platform. The role involves maintaining existing backend components while driving the transition towards a modern, cloud-native architecture.

• Develop and maintain the backend of an in-house identity orchestration platform with a focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Transition existing components to a cloud-native target architecture using serverless and containerized solutions.
• Design and implement secure cloud modules including functions, container apps, and secret management tools.
• Support IAM-related developments such as user provisioning, API security, and token conversion.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to translate functional requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Manage technical incidents and vulnerability remediation for owned application components.

• 8+ years of experience in backend development using C# and .NET.
• Extensive experience in Azure cloud development including Azure Functions and Azure Container Apps.
• Strong expertise in SQL, T-SQL, and relational database design.
• Proven track record in designing and consuming REST APIs and JSON services.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and source control using Git.
• Practical knowledge of secure cloud development practices and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience working in Agile environments with a strong DevOps culture.
• Solution-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in distributed, international teams.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.

Nice to Haves

• Experience with SCIM-based user provisioning.
• Knowledge of OIDC, OAuth, and modern authentication protocols.
• Familiarity with Keycloak, Open Policy Agent, or Identity Governance (IGA) concepts.
• Experience in secure customer or partner portal environments.
• Possession of AZ-900 or AZ-204 certifications.
