In4Matic is seeking a Senior Back-end Developer to contribute to the design, development and continuous improvement of modern software. You will work on complex challenges, translating requirements into scalable solutions while applying DevOps and cloud best practices.

Requirements include extensive .NET experience, Azure services, REST APIs, and a strong REST API mindset within an agile setting. The role is onsite in Brussels with at least two days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional .NET development experience, incl. .NET Core.
• Strong REST API development background and cloud proficiency.
• 5+ years with Microsoft Azure services (Functions, Cosmos DB, Event Hub).
• DevOps mindset with CI/CD, YAML, blue/green deployments.
• Solid microservices, clean architecture and design patterns knowledge.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and automated testing.
• Git collaboration in agile teams; Jira/Confluence familiarity.
• Experience with Scrum/SAFe; English fluency at B2+.

We're looking for a Senior Back-end Developer to join our client's development team and contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of modern software applications. You'll work on complex technical challenges, translating functional requirements into scalable solutions while contributing to strong engineering and DevOps practices. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working with modern cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Translate application storyboards, use cases, and requirements into functional and reliable applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and maintainable .NET code.
• Build and integrate data storage solutions using both SQL and NoSQL technologies.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and modern .NET applications.
• Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Apply modern software architecture principles, including microservices, clean architecture, and established design patterns.
• Ensure optimal application performance, quality, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Identify bottlenecks, bugs, and technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Implement automated testing and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and broader DevOps practices.
• Work closely with central technical teams to strengthen DevOps capabilities across development teams.
• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders using modern Agile delivery practices.

Technical Profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in .NET development, including recent experience with .NET Core and modern .NET versions.
• Strong experience with REST API development.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as Azure Functions, Event Hub, Cosmos DB, or comparable technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, YAML-based configuration, and deployment strategies such as blue/green deployments.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, microservices, design patterns, and clean architecture.
• Practical experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with unit testing and automated testing practices.
• Strong Git experience in collaborative development environments.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence and their use within Agile and DevOps processes.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Professional experience with React.js is an advantage.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools or AI-enabled IDEs is a plus.

You are an experienced back-end developer with a strong engineering mindset and a genuine interest in modern technology. You combine deep .NET expertise with solid cloud, architecture, and DevOps knowledge and are comfortable working on complex, distributed systems. You continuously look for ways to improve your technical approach and are open to adopting new technologies and development practices. You communicate fluently in English at B2 level or above and are willing to work onsite in Brussels at least 2 days per week.
