Jones Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for on-site work in Charleroi, Belgium. You will oversee all aspects of the mechanical subcontract package for a large data center, including design development, value engineering, field support and startup, reporting to the Project Manager - Mechanical.

You will lead the mechanical engineering team, liaise with commissioning & quality groups and the in-house electrical team to ensure design coherence and meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical degree required with strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
• Minimum 8 years in mechanical roles with at least 3 years in a lead role.
• Experience in project planning, construction sequencing and critical path.
• Germany experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Familiar with HVAC system commissioning and startup.
• Knowledge of BMS systems is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for all aspects of project engineering for the mechanical subcontract package, including design development, value engineering, field support, engineering quality control, technical reviews and procurement.
• Manage the mechanical engineering team and interface with in-house commissioning and quality teams and the in-house electrical team.
• Review equipment submittals to ensure they meet design requirements and coordinate startup activities.
