Loop Earplugs seeks a seasoned mechanical design engineer to own subassembly designs from concept through mass production. You’ll lead design reviews, tolerance analyses, EVT/DVT/PVT builds, and collaborate with contract manufacturers and ODMs on DFM and tooling.

You’ll produce robust 2D drawings, drive ECOs in Arena, and ensure CMF and material choices meet volume manufacturing needs. You’ll work primarily in Onshape, balancing performance, cost and manufacturability, while maintaining strong

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing injection-moulded parts for high-volume consumer products, with at least one taken through mass production.
• Strong fundamentals: tolerances, stack‑ups, fastening, material selection, and root-cause analysis of mechanical failures.
• Hands-on experience with injection moulding and related processes for small consumer hardware (overmoulding, silicone, TPE) and understanding of mould costs.
• Experience working with CM/ODM tooling, build, validation and ramp phases.
• Proficient in design reviews, drawing releases, and ECO processes; able to communicate across engineering, sourcing and manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Own mechanical design for assigned subassemblies from concept through mass production.
• Lead design reviews and tolerance analysis.
• Execute EVT, DVT and PVT builds; analyze test failures and iterate.
• Partner with CM/ODMs on DFM reviews, tooling and production readiness.
• Author and own 2D drawings and specifications; drive ECOs and change control in Arena.
• Finalize part designs with material and finish choices in collaboration with Sourcing and CM.
• Work in Onshape as the core mechanical CAD environment.
