Based in Brussels, you will play a key role in Snap’s engagement with EU institutions and the wider Brussels policy community, helping to develop and execute Snap’s public policy priorities across Europe.Brussels is a key regulatory hub for Snap, with EU legislative and regulatory developments directly affecting our products and business. Working closely with the EU Public Policy lead and colleagues across Snap, you will lead designated EU policy workstreams, analyse complex legislative and regulatory developments, develop policy positions and advocacy strategies, and build relationships with policymakers and other key stakeholders. Ensuring that Snap’s perspective is understood and reflected in relevant EU policy debates will be a key priority.What you’ll doLead designated EU policy and regulatory workstreams and contribute to the development and execution of Snap’s broader EU public policy strategy.Cultivate and deepen relationships with EU officials, Member State representatives, regulators, NGOs, trade associations, think tanks and other key stakeholders, and represent Snap in relevant external engagements.Monitor and conduct detailed analysis of EU legislative and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on Snap and identifying emerging risks, opportunities and advocacy priorities.Analyse and interpret legislative and regulatory text at a technical level, including proposed legislation, amendments and implementing measures, and develop drafting proposals where appropriate. Prepare high-quality policy memos, position papers and recommendations to inform Snap’s advocacy and internal decision-making.Develop policy positions and advocacy strategies and translate them into consultation responses, advocacy materials, talking points and executive briefings.Work cross-functionally with Legal, Product, Platform Integrity, Communications and Business teams to develop company positions and translate complex regulatory developments into actionable advice.Advise and brief senior internal stakeholders on relevant EU political and regulatory developments, working closely with the Director of EU Public Policy and broader EMEA and Global Public Policy teams.Coordinate with Public Policy colleagues across Europe to align EU-level advocacy with national engagement and broader company priorities.Work with trade associations, external advisers and other partners as appropriate to advance Snap’s EU policy objectives.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong understanding of EU institutions, legislative and regulatory processes and the technology policy landscape, with established relationships across the Brussels policy community.Strong political judgement and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to interpret and critically assess complex legislative, regulatory and technical issues and translate them into clear policy positions and advocacy strategies.Excellent drafting and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise and high-quality legislative analysis, policy memos, position papers, briefing notes and other materials for senior internal and external audiences.Proven ability to build trusted relationships and engage constructively with policymakers, regulators and a broad range of external stakeholders, including organisations and individuals that may be critical of the company.Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions, including Legal, Product, Communications and Business teams, and to influence and drive alignment across different stakeholders.Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and policy workstreams in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, with a proactive, thoughtful and solutions-oriented approach.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.7+ years of relevant experience in EU public policy, government affairs, regulatory affairs, EU institutions or a related field.Fluency in English and French.Preferred QualificationsSignificant experience working in Brussels and engaging with EU institutions and the wider EU policy community.Experience working on technology and digital policy, including areas such as privacy, online safety, AI or consumer policy.Previous experience in an EU institution, national government or regulator.Professional proficiency in German or another EU language.If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information .\"Default Together\" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
