Job summary

Wlgroup is seeking a Linux engineer to install, harden, automate, and maintain security tooling in a change-controlled environment on Linux systems. You will install and monitor Linux OS and applications to secure standards and contribute to availability and performance of the tooling estate.

You will build and maintain automated tools, defend upgrades before the change board, roll out features within a protected perimeter, and document procedures while diagnosing Linux-related issues and

Qualifications

• A computer science degree with at least a year as a Linux engineer, or the equivalent in practice.
• Linux server administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux — installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Programming or scripting used in earnest for automation.
• Ansible, and comfort with virtualization such as VMware.
• Security practice applied to Linux: firewalls, encryption, access control.
• Red Hat certification — administrator and engineer level preferred.
• Desirable: Red Hat Satellite and packaging, observability practice, containers with Podman or Docker, collaboration tooling, and open-source contribution.
