WLG in Mons, Belgium, seeks a senior technician to run, improve and secure an IaaS platform with a strong Linux focus on-premises and in cloud. You will manage RHEL and Oracle Linux, build automation with Ansible and Bash, and enforce security controls.

Ideal candidates have experience with Red Hat Satellite, Bash, and enterprise load balancing, plus documentation and on-call readiness. This role offers ownership of a critical platform and room for automation.

Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant experience or 6 years with a secondary qualification.
• Experience with VMware ESXi, blade and rack servers, and vSAN.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration including Active Directory, hardening and patching.
• Familiar with Red Hat Satellite, Ansible and Bash; Linux security such as firewalls and MAC.
• Hands-on public and private cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and enterprise load balancing.

Responsabilités

• Keep IaaS services running on-premises and in private/public cloud.
• Provisioning, administering and troubleshooting RHEL and Oracle Linux 8 to 10 estates.
• Building automation and infrastructure as code with Ansible and Bash.

• Tuning load balancers; following change management and keeping CMDB/diagrams current.
• Writing procedures, reports and briefings, and joining maintenance windows and on-call when needed.

A multinational defence organisation in Mons runs Infrastructure as a Service across on-premises, private and public cloud. It is looking for a senior technician to run, improve and secure that platform, with a strong Linux focus.

What You Would Be Doing

• Keeping IaaS services running smoothly on-premises and in private and public cloud
• Provisioning, administering and troubleshooting RHEL and Oracle Linux 8 to 10 estates
• Building automation and infrastructure as code with Ansible Automation Platform and Bash
• Running OS upgrades and patching through Red Hat Satellite, and enforcing security controls
• Tuning load balancers, following change management and keeping the CMDB and diagrams current
• Writing procedures, reports and briefings, and joining maintenance windows and on-call when needed

What you would bring
