Job summary

EDFI Management Company in Brussels seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to provide autonomous legal support for fundraising and investments. You will own investment documentation from term sheet to closing, navigate EU-EC regulations, and advise on structure and negotiations across sectors including critical raw materials in developing markets.

The role covers coordinating external counsel, ensuring compliance, and supporting portfolio teams with strategic restructuring.

Qualifications

Bilingual French and English required for all written and verbal work.
Experience with complex deal structuring and contracts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in professional settings.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advisory on deal structuring and contracting.
Guide EDFI MC stakeholders from structuring to implementation.
Coordinate drafting/negotiation of investment documentation with external advisors.
Advise on restructuring solutions for existing investments and on governance matters.
Oversee compliance obligations and ESG risk considerations.
