Nova Hunte Ltd in Namur, Belgium, seeks a Senior Java Solution Architect with 9+ years in Java development to lead architecture for a major public sector programme. This long-term contract requires deep expertise in Java technologies, microservices, and cloud-ready designs.

You will advise on best practices, analyze architectures and code, and guide DevSecOps deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable tax applications.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of Java development experience (front-end and back-end).
• 5+ years as a Java Solution Architect.
• Recent architecture work within the last 3 years.
• Strong Java tech expertise including JDK 17, Spring, Hibernate, Kafka, REST.
• Experience with containerised microservices and stateless architectures.
• Proficiency in front-end tech: JS/TS, Angular, React, Vue, HTML, CSS.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and tools: IntelliJ, VS Code, Maven, Nexus, Git, GitLab, Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• Architectural frameworks: UML, Design Patterns, ArchiMate, SOA, REST, RabbitMQ.
• Testing tools knowledge; Desirable: AI tools for code analysis, DDD, EDA, large-scale codebases, DevSecOps, Elasticsearch, AWS/Azure.
• Desirable: Docker Swarm and auditing/reverse engineering; English (fluent), French (professional).

Responsabilités

• Advise on Java development best practices and software quality
• Analyse architectures, source code, and technical solutions for Java applications within the fiscal ecosystem
• Support applications based on containerised, microservices, and stateless architectures
• Improve code quality, maintainability, and security across tax-related applications
• Assist with infrastructure setup and configuration across development, testing, validation, and production environments
• Provide technical expertise and methodology to development teams
• Coordinate between functional analysts and developers
• Advise on deployment automation in CI/CD and DevSecOps environments
• Ensure optimal integration of new technologies and components
• Support technical and strategic decisions for the programme
• Collaborate with other architects, project managers, and analysts across the organisation

Are you a Senior Java Solution Architect with 9+ years of experience in Java development?

Long-term contract opportunity with a leading public sector client in Namur, Belgium.

Requirements

• 9+ years of Java development experience (front-end and back-end)
• 5+ years of experience as a Java Solution Architect
• Recent relevant experience within the last 3 years in solution architecture
• Strong expertise in Java technologies including recent versions (JDK 17), Spring/Spring Boot/Spring Batch, Hibernate, Kafka, API Gateway, J2EE, and web services
• Experience with containerised, microservices, and stateless architectures
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, JSON
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and development tools: IntelliJ, Visual Studio Code, Maven, Nexus, Git, GitLab, Jenkins, XLDeploy, Jira, SonarQube
• Experience with infrastructure technologies: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Linux (Red Hat), PostgreSQL, Oracle databases
• Expertise in architecture frameworks and patterns: UML, Design Patterns, ArchiMate, SOA, SOAP, REST, RabbitMQ, integration and interoperability architectures
• Knowledge of testing tools and methodologies
• (Desirable) Experience with AI tools for Java code analysis and generation
• (Desirable) Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
