Job summary

ITS Group is seeking a Senior Industrial Network Engineer to manage and optimize a large-scale international network spanning enterprise IT and industrial/OT environments. You will ensure availability, performance, reliability and security while collaborating with stakeholders across Europe.

The role requires strong industrial networking, network security, cloud networking expertise and legacy DCS knowledge, plus excellent communication and travel readiness to industrial sites across Europe.

The client is looking for a Senior Industrial Network Engineer to manage, support, secure and optimize a large-scale international network infrastructure spanning both enterprise IT environments and industrial/OT (Operational Technology) networks. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, reliability and security of office networks, technical networks and DCS environments, while collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners and industrial site teams across Europe.

The role requires a strong combination of industrial networking expertise, network security, cloud networking, and legacy DCS network knowledge, together with excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in critical industrial environments.

Your missions:

• Manage, support and optimize international enterprise and industrial network infrastructures.
• Ensure network availability, performance, reliability and security.
• Monitor and improve network performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents while minimizing downtime.
• Support and maintain office, technical and industrial network environments.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, third‑party suppliers and industrial site teams.
• Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of network architecture.
• Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and guidelines.
• Travel regularly to industrial and power generation sites across Europe.

Network Operations & Support

• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure high availability of network services.
• Support enterprise‑grade wireless environments.
• Manage and identify network cabling, including UTP cabling.

Network Infrastructure Management

• Administer enterprise routing and switching environments.
• Work with BGP, OSPF and VRF technologies.
• Manage Fortinet solutions including:
  • Firewalls
  • SD‑WAN
• Support and maintain complex enterprise and industrial network systems.
• Support cloud networking solutions.
• Work with networking technologies in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
• Manage and support Zscaler technologies:
  • ZIA
  • ZPA
• Apply network security best practices and security protocols.
• Assess and challenge network architectures to ensure compliance with security requirements.
• Support industrial and DCS network environments.
• Work with legacy DCS infrastructures.
• Interact with technologies and environments from:
  • Siemens
  • ABB
  • GE
• Operate within critical industrial and power generation environments.
• Work in accordance with industrial safety requirements, including VCA standards.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with third‑party providers and external partners.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions effectively.
• Manage expectations and ensure alignment on objectives and delivery timelines.
• Provide support to internal and external stakeholders.

You have the following skills:

MUST HAVE

Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in industrial/OT environments.
• Experience working in critical industrial infrastructures.

Other Requirements

• VCA certification.
• Valid driving license.
• Willingness and ability to travel independently to industrial sites across Europe.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
