ITS Group Benelux is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a dedicated security team in a banking environment in Belgium. You will operate and evolve firewall infrastructures, focusing on Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet technologies, with hands-on responsibility for production incidents and changes.

You will work across Security, Network and Infrastructure teams to implement hardening, tune rules, analyze logs and provide documentation to ensure robust, compliant network security.

Formación

• Must have strong experience in Network Security / Firewall Engineering.
• Proficient with Palo Alto Networks, Panorama and Fortinet/FortiGate.
• Experience with FortiManager and firewall policy/rule management.
• Strong TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
• Experience in critical production environments and incident/change management.
• Ability to analyze network traffic, firewall logs and optimize rules.

We are looking for a Senior Network Security Engineer to join a Network Security team within a large and critical banking environment.

The consultant will be responsible for the operational management, maintenance and evolution of firewall infrastructures, with a strong focus on Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet technologies.

The role requires a hands-on and autonomous engineer with strong experience in firewall operations, security policy management, troubleshooting and production support.

• Operate and maintain Palo Alto and Fortinet firewall environments, using Panorama and FortiManager.
• Manage, implement and update firewall rules and security policies.
• Analyse network flows, firewall logs and existing rules to troubleshoot connectivity and security issues.
• Perform firewall rule optimisation, clean-up and security hardening.
• Support network security and segmentation requirements.
• Handle production activities including incidents, changes and service/information requests.
• Troubleshoot network and firewall-related incidents in production environments.
• Implement and follow up security-related changes in controlled PROD and NON-PROD environments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and security of the firewall infrastructure.
• Create and maintain technical and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and other technical teams.
