ITS Group Benelux seeks a Senior BI Functional Analyst specializing in Data & Analytics to bridge business needs with technical teams. You will shape data platforms, ensure scalable and high-quality analytics, and collaborate with data analysts, data engineers and project teams.

The role covers functional analysis, data modelling, requirements gathering, data quality, testing, governance and delivery. Fluent in French or Dutch, with hybrid work arrangement in Belgium.

Qualifications

We are looking for a Senior BI Functional Analyst specialized in Data & Analytics who can act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The consultant will support the transformation of business needs into data-driven solutions, contribute to the design and evolution of data platforms, and ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable and high-quality analytical solutions.

The role combines functional analysis, data modelling, business requirements gathering, data quality management, testing, stakeholder management and support for data warehouse/reporting initiatives. The consultant will work closely with business experts, data analysts, data engineers and project teams to ensure business requirements are translated into robust data products and analytical solutions.

Your missions:

Understand and Support Business Needs

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, business data analysts and subject matter experts.
• Gather, analyse and formalise reporting, analytics and data requirements.
• Ensure requirements are documented, coherent and actionable.
• Maintain traceability between business requirements, business rules and delivered solutions.

Translate Business Needs into Data Solutions

• Produce functional analyses and detailed functional specifications.
• Define and document business rules.
• Prototype and validate requirements with stakeholders.
• Ensure traceability between source systems, business needs and delivered solutions.

Design Data Models and Information Flows

• Contribute to the functional design of Enterprise Data Warehouses.
• Design Datamarts and analytical data models.
• Define integration rules and data transformation logic.
• Participate in the evolution of scalable data architectures and modern data platforms.

Ensure Data Quality and Reliability

• Analyse and profile operational data sources.
• Detect and resolve data quality issues.
• Validate consistency and integrity of business rules.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet business and quality expectations.

Support Solution Validation

• Define functional test strategies and test plans.
• Execute and coordinate functional testing activities.
• Support the definition of business-oriented security and access rights.

Contribute to Project Success

• Assess impacts, risks, dependencies and priorities.
• Provide functional expertise and recommendations.
• Support effort estimation and scope definition.

• Experience in at least two different business sectors.

• Familiarity with modern analytics ecosystems and cloud technologies.
• You have at least 8 years of professional experiences in IT
