Us3 Consulting seeks a Senior Engineer with deep IBM Mainframe design and development expertise. The role involves translating complex requirements into robust functional designs, collaborating with business and IT stakeholders, and driving critical projects to success.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, contribute to standards, and uphold high-quality documentation across the project lifecycle, while navigating priorities in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a developer and functional designer.
• Strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of PL/I (PLI).
• Experience with DB2, MQ and CICS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience on major IT projects.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop complex software applications with autonomy.
• Translate business requirements into functional and data models.
• Ensure designs meet business, operational, architectural, and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in detailed system design and define scope and objectives for projects.
• Review program specifications, coding, testing, and debugging activities.
• Contribute to application design standards, reusable patterns, frameworks, and tools.
• Support application testing and production issue resolution when required.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, business stakeholders, and infrastructure teams.
• Maintain high-quality design documentation throughout the application lifecycle.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior IT professionals.
• Contribute to major IT projects and complex application initiatives.
