Job summary

WLG in Brussels is seeking an experienced accountant to support the section lead on the general ledger and asset accounting team, ensuring accuracy day to day and guiding the books through month-end and year-end close. This on-site role carries real responsibility during the busiest financial period.

You will manage daily GL and fixed assets (leases included), uphold internal controls and accounting standards, prepare analyses, and mentor a small finance team in a multinational setting.

Qualifications

• Solid general ledger and fixed asset accounting experience, leases included.
• Hands-on experience running month-end and year-end closes.
• A firm grasp of internal controls and accounting standards.
• Experience guiding or supervising a small finance team.
• Professional English.

Responsibilities

• Help the section lead run daily general ledger and asset accounting, including leases.
• Make sure transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses.
• Keep internal controls working and the books compliant with the accounting standards.
• Coordinate the month-end and year-end close.
• Improve accounting processes and systems, and guide colleagues through problems as they come up.
