Wlgroup in Brussels is seeking an experienced accountant to support the general ledger and asset accounting team through month-end and year-end closes. This on-site role works closely with the section lead to keep financials accurate and compliant at the busiest time of the year.

You will handle daily GL and fixed asset activities, prepare reports, strengthen controls, and guide a small finance team to deliver timely, reliable books.

Qualifications

• Solid general ledger and fixed asset accounting experience, leases included.
• Hands-on experience running month-end and year-end closes.
• A firm grasp of internal controls and accounting standards.
• Experience guiding or supervising a small finance team.
• Professional English.

Responsabilités

• Helping the section lead run daily general ledger and asset accounting, property, plant and equipment and lease accounting included
• Making sure transactions are processed accurately and on time
• Preparing financial reports and analysis
• Keeping internal controls working and the books compliant with the accounting standards
• Coordinating the month-end and year-end close
• Improving accounting processes and systems, and guiding colleagues through problems as they come up
