Job summary

WLG in Brussels is seeking an experienced accountant to support the general ledger and asset accounting functions, including leases, under the section lead. You will help keep daily numbers accurate and drive the month-end and year-end close on site.

Ideal candidates bring solid GL and fixed asset experience, exposure to month-end/year-end closes, strong internal controls, and the ability to guide a small finance team. Proficiency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Solid general ledger and fixed asset accounting experience, leases included.
• Hands-on experience running month-end and year-end closes.
• Firm grasp of internal controls and accounting standards.
• Experience guiding or supervising a small finance team.
• Professional English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Helping the section lead run daily general ledger and asset accounting, including leases.
• Ensuring transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Preparing financial reports and analysis.
• Keeping internal controls working and the books compliant with accounting standards.
• Coordinating the month-end and year-end close.
• Improving accounting processes and guiding colleagues through problems as they arise.
