Job summary

La Fosse in Belgium is seeking a Senior AI Engineer who blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership to deliver business-impactful AI solutions. You will uncover the real problem, prototype-to-production pipelines, mentor engineers, and serve as the technical voice in presales across French or Dutch and English contexts.

The role requires 4–8+ years in production AI/ML, strong Python/SQL, cloud experience, and familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, Docker, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years in AI/ML production environments.
• Advanced Python and SQL with a solid classical ML foundation.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with at least two of: RAG, agentic workflows, fine-tuning/PEFT, vector databases.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar, plus Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience coaching engineers and explaining trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent French or Dutch, plus English.

Responsibilities

• Uncover the real problem behind a request and pick the right approach: GenAI, classical ML, or a mix.
• Take prototypes to production-grade applications with end-to-end pipelines, evaluation and monitoring.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Act as the technical voice in presales: scoping, estimating and assessing feasibility.
