Job summary

La Fosse in Belgium is seeking a Senior AI Engineer who blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership to deliver business-impactful AI solutions. The role requires 4–8+ years in production AI/ML, strong Python/SQL, cloud experience, and familiarity with LangChain or LlamaIndex, Docker, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 4–8+ years in AI/ML production environments.
• Advanced Python and SQL with a solid classical ML foundation.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Experience with at least two of: RAG, agentic workflows, fine-tuning/PEFT, vector databases.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar, plus Docker and CI/CD.
• Experience coaching engineers and explaining trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent French or Dutch, plus English.

The role

• Uncover the real problem behind a request and pick the right approach, whether GenAI, classical ML, statistical modelling or a mix
• Take proven prototypes to secure, production-grade applications, with end-to-end pipelines, evaluation and monitoring
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
• Act as the technical voice in presales: scoping, estimating and assessing feasibility

You bring

• 4 - 8+ years as an AI/ML engineer in production, including at least one POC-to-production solution you shaped
• Advanced Python and SQL, a solid classical ML foundation, and cloud experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with at least two of: RAG, agentic workflows, fine-tuning/PEFT, vector databases
