NextLink Group seeks a skilled Functional Analyst to analyse high-level requirements and design robust IT solutions in an insurance IT environment.

You will translate business needs into technical designs, oversee test planning, and coordinate developers with IS project stakeholders, ensuring platform stability and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Master or Engineer in IT or related field.
• Bachelor with minimum 5 years’ experience in technical analysis.
• Fluent English and Dutch; French is a plus.
• Insurance or banking domain experience.

• Ensure the stability and operability of the (sub)application.
• Translate business requirements into a structured IT solution with a functional approach.
• Translate this functional design into well-tailored technical design.
• Prepare functional integration testcases based on the requirements.
• Test the product before delivery to the users.
• Analyze potential corrective actions to be taken.
• Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities.
• Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
• Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation.

The back-end applications are developed inCOBOL (Micro Focus) with SQL databases, and require

interaction with various technologies andteams for front-end, printing and communication components.

In this role, the candidate will receivehigh-level functional requirements, analyse them and design robust ITsolutions. The solution scope may cover assets such as the user interface,business logic and database architecture. The candidate will follow up theimplementation of their designs and setup a test approach.

Working autonomously, they will interactdirectly with the IS Project Manager to agree on scope and

milestones, and will report progress to ISstakeholders. The functional analyst should also be able to review source codewhen needed and to write SQL queries on demand.

Beyond project delivery, the candidatewill support platform stability by monitoring and responding to productionincidents and coordinating remediation efforts when needed.

Proven experience in functional analysis,user interface design, testing, COBOL within an insurance IT

environment and professional knowledge ofDutch are required.
