A consulting firm in Brussels is seeking an experienced IT professional to manage operations of a life back-end application on the mainframe. The role involves delivering projects on time, monitoring incidents, and contributing to documentation. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in IT and at least 3 years in life insurance IT solutions. Proficiency in COBOL/DB2, and good command of French or Dutch with English is essential. Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the group life back-end application running on the mainframe.
• Deliver projects within agreed timelines.
• Monitor and follow up on daily incidents (low volume).
• Contribute to technical and functional documentation through code analysis and application behavior review.
• Implement simple, structured, and efficient solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT development or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT solutions within life insurance.
• Excellent command of French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other national language, and comfortable working in English.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL / DB2; experience with mainframe environments and/or group life insurance is an asset.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
