Job summary

Koda Tech in Brussels is seeking a Senior Business / Functional Analyst to join our Finance & Risk Reporting team. You will work in a Scrum environment, translating business needs into robust functional analyses and solutions across profitability, ALM and liquidity domains.

You will handle SQL-driven data processes, collaborate with developers and testers, and contribute to documentation and small projects. English is required; French or Dutch language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst in a banking environment.
• Strong SQL skills and data modelling capabilities.
• Knowledge of Profitability, ALM and Liquidity is highly desirable.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical analyses.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum project environments and test case development.

Senior Business / Functional Analyst – Finance & Risk Reporting | Brussels

I am currently looking for an experienced Business / Functional Analyst to join a Technology team within a leading Belgian banking environment.

You will join a Scrum team responsible for applications supporting Profitability, ALM & Liquidity, working with financial and accounting data across several internal systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into detailed functional analyses and solutions.
• Analyse and design features relating to Profitability, Asset & Liability Management (ALM) and Liquidity.
• Work with data-intensive applications primarily built using PL/SQL.
• Support the collection, transformation, aggregation and calculation of financial/accounting data.
• Write test cases, support test scenarios and perform integration testing.
• Perform impact analysis and support incident resolution and system improvements.
• Maintain functional/system documentation and coordinate smaller projects and activities.
• Work closely with developers, testers, business users and other stakeholders.

Key requirements:

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst / Functional Analyst within banking.
• Very good knowledge of SQL.
• Good understanding of banking products and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of Profitability, ALM and/or Liquidity is highly desirable.
• Experience translating business requirements into functional and technical analysis.
• Experience with modelling techniques/tools and software testing.
• Understanding of banking regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• French or Dutch and English (English only candidates will not be considered for this role)
