Pauwels Consulting is seeking a senior backend architect to shape core architecture and implement AI automation in Brussels. You will lead a team to build scalable cloud environments, APIs, and microservices while integrating AI models and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 8+ years in backend development with Python and cloud expertise, with a hybrid work model in Brussels. Open to permanent or freelance engagements, with ASAP start and a 3-month initial contract.

Competenze

• 8+ years of backend development experience using Python, FastAPI, Celery, and SQLAlchemy.
• 8+ years of experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (GCP, GKE, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in DevOps including GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, Helm, and Docker.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQLModel, and Alembic.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure components (VPC, IAM, Secret Manager, BigQuery).
• Security and identity standards such as JWT and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Linux systems, Nginx, and network security tools (ufw, iptables).
• Fluent in English.
