Astek Belgium is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Developer to join a cutting-edge project in the public sector, focused on digitalising operational interrogation and interview processes. You will work on full-stack applications using React/Node.js, integrating AI models and handling multimodal data in production environments.

The role requires 5+ years in AI app development, strong Node.js/React skills, Dutch at C2 level and good English.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI application development.
• Strong experience with Node.js and React.
• At least 1 year of experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and/or VLMs such as GPT, Claude, LLaMA, CLIP or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating AI models through APIs.
• Solid knowledge of prompt engineering and AI model fine-tuning.
• Experience working with text, image and/or multimodal datasets.
• Experience developing multimodal AI applications.
• Native or C2-level Dutch and good English.
• Strong software engineering skills and a hands-on mindset.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain modern Full-Stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Integrate AI/ML models through APIs into existing and new applications.
• Build solutions leveraging LLMs and Vision Language Models (VLMs).
• Work on prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.
• Develop AI solutions combining text, image and video data.
• Design and manage data preprocessing and multimodal data pipelines; contribute to technical architecture and code quality.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI specialists to bring innovative solutions into production.
• Take ownership of complex technical challenges and share knowledge with other developers.
