Zusammenfassung

Wlgroup, a multinational defence organisation in Brussels, seeks an experienced accountant to support the section lead on the general ledger and asset accounting team. You will help keep the numbers right day to day and drive the books through month-end and year-end, fully on site.

You will collaborate on daily ledger tasks, asset accounting including leases, prepare financial reports and analyses, and ensure internal controls and compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifikationen

• Solid general ledger and fixed asset accounting experience, including leases.
• Hands-on experience running month-end and year-end closes.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and accounting standards.
• Experience guiding or supervising a small finance team.
• Professional proficiency in English.

What you would be doing

• Helping the section lead run daily general ledger and asset accounting, property, plant and equipment and lease accounting included
• Making sure transactions are processed accurately and on time
• Preparing financial reports and analysis
• Keeping internal controls working and the books compliant with the accounting standards
• Coordinating the month-end and year-end close
• Improving accounting processes and systems, and guiding colleagues through problems as they come up
