Job summary

Clean Air Task Force in Brussels seeks a Senior Policy Manager to lead industrial decarbonisation policy across the EU, translating complex technical issues into clear policy narratives and engaging with policymakers, industry, and civil society.

You will collaborate across programs, support fundraising, and help shape CATF’s European strategy, requiring a strong policy background, relationship-building, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• A graduate degree, or a bachelor’s degree combined with at least eight years of relevant work experience.
• At least three years of experience working with EU institutions and the European legislative system.
• Knowledge of European climate policy and industrial decarbonisation.
• Experience communicating complex policy issues to external audiences.
• Ability to manage projects and competing priorities in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English; proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and advance practical policy positions supporting industrial decarbonisation across the EU.
• Engage with EU institutions and national governments, including Brussels-based engagement.
• Apply policy knowledge across chemicals, steel, cement, and energy-intensive industries.
• Translate technical, commercial issues into clear policy narratives for diverse audiences.
• Build relationships with policymakers, Industry, civil society, and CATF experts.
• Contribute to policy work on carbon management, electrification, hydrogen, and EU ETS.
• Represent CATF’s policy positions through briefings, communications, and public materials.
• Collaborate across CATF’s programs to coordinate policy work and fundraising.
