Job summary

Etex is seeking a Senior Energy Category Manager to lead the global energy procurement agenda within Buying Better Together. You will shape the energy category strategy, drive sourcing of electricity, gas, heat and hydrogen, and partner with Operations, Sustainability and Finance to decarbonise and optimise energy use across our manufacturing footprint.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in strategic procurement, energy, utilities, commodities, industrial operations or energy advisory.
• Proven success in energy supply contracting and complex negotiations.
• Advanced expertise in category management, sourcing, contracting and supplier relationships.
• Strong financial and analytical skills for business cases and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Co-develop and deploy the global Energy category strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Lead energy sourcing for electricity, gas, heat and hydrogen with flexible requirements.
• Own energy category scopes end-to-end from market intel to benefits tracking.
• Drive energy transformation projects including electrification and green heat.
• Manage and optimise the energy capacity portfolio and opportunities like load shifting.
• Support hedging activities and monitor energy markets per policy.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and governance reviews.
• Monitor market and regulatory developments and translate into sourcing recommendations.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Sustainability and Engineering on decarbonisation business cases.
• Drive digital enablement and data analytics for energy management.
