Job summary

Global Category Manager CAPEX & CAPEX-Related Services at Etex Group in Zaventem leads the CAPEX procurement strategy across a globally distributed footprint. You will drive category governance, supplier partnerships and value delivery within the Buying Better Together programme.

You will shape modern procurement practices, enable risk management, and deliver tangible savings and productivity benefits through data-driven sourcing and strategic negotiations across divisions and countries.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in procurement, category management or strategic sourcing with CAPEX exposure.

Responsibilities

• Define, execute, and improve global CAPEX category strategy and roadmap.
• Lead change and adoption as part of Buying Better Together.
• Support future procurement operating model and governance framework.
• Establish category governance and accountability across divisions.
• Drive benefits realization and Finance-validated value delivery.
• Strengthen supplier relationship management and executive engagement.
• Leverage SAP, Ariba, Power BI and AI-enabled tools to improve transparency.
• Translate business priorities into sourcing strategies and contracts.
• Ensure early procurement involvement in investment planning.
• Lead cross-functional category teams to align requirements.
• Build a value-creation pipeline delivering savings and CAPEX efficiency.
• Lead global sourcing initiatives and high-value negotiations.
• Apply TCO, demand management, standardisation and best-cost-country sourcing.
• Develop procurement standards and controls in major CAPEX projects.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and risk mitigation.
• Lead and develop the central category team and regional procurement teams.
