Job summary

Pauwels Consulting seeks an expert to modernize a public transport client’s payment ecosystem and lead strategic sales solutions. You will steer PSP procurement, ensure PCI-DSS compliance, and coordinate cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver secure payment solutions.

The role requires 8+ years in complex project management within regulated environments and 3+ years in electronic payments, with strong procurement and risk management capabilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in complex project management within regulated environments.
• 3+ years of specialized expertise in electronic payments, including PSP, Acquiring, and monetics.
• Proven track record in PCI-DSS compliance projects or comparable payment security initiatives.
• Experience in public procurement, including drafting RFP specifications and managing tender processes.
• Advanced budget management and risk/dependency management skills.
• Strong Supplier Relationship Management with IT and payment service providers.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Native in Dutch or French with professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of the digital payment ecosystem modernization, including procurement and implementation of new acquiring and PSP services.
• Drive compliance and certification efforts for the payment ecosystem, ensuring regulatory standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across finance, legal, security and architecture to consolidate requirements.
• Define target architecture for payment flows and manage transitions between legacy and future service providers.
• Monitor project risks, budgets, and timelines with strategic reporting to senior management.
• Prepare public procurement documents, technical specifications and tender evaluations for large-scale IT and payment services.
