Job summary

Nexuzhealth, with offices across Belgium, seeks an experienced Senior Developer to design and implement cloud-native features in one of its engineering teams. You will work with microservices, event-driven architectures, and modern AI tools while delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software development, strong Java/Spring Boot skills, Docker/Kubernetes experience, and a collaborative mindset within large multi-team environments. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software development.
• Good understanding of contract-first and event-driven architectures, microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless technologies.
• Solid experience with Java and Spring Boot. Experience with Golang is a big plus.
• Experience in healthcare is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and infrastructure as code (IaC) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A can-do mentality: you propose solutions and dive into code.

Contribute to designing and implementing one or more functional domains of our products. You are experienced in building cloud-native applications, and concepts like micro-services, event-driven architecture, APIs, ... hold no secrets for you. You have a passion for high-quality and maintainable code and apply SOLID, Clean Architecture, DDD, TDD, … without thinking.

• Technical Design Implementation: you help with the technical design of features and implement them together with the team.
• DevSecOps: you don't just implement features, but, together with the team, you are also responsible for building, deploying, and supporting your applications in production.
• Quality Scalability: you ensure testable code, and help focus on high test automation, both functionally and for performance and scalability.
• Documentation and standards: help document important technical designs and establish good agreements within the team to work efficiently and consistently.

What you need to succeed:
