CluePoints in Belgium is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Engineer to own the technical design, reliability and evolution of our Databricks data foundation. You will work with analysts who write SQL and Python, strengthening production-grade pipelines with automation and governance.

Bring 5+ years in data engineering, strong Databricks, SQL and PySpark skills, plus a passion for AI-assisted engineering workflows and scalable, auditable data pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or data-platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on Databricks experience (or similar cloud lakehouse).
• Advanced SQL and strong Python/PySpark skills.
• Production-grade pipeline design, build, test, deploy and maintain.
• Delta Lake, medallion architecture, OLAP/OLTP transformation knowledge.
• Data governance, Unity Catalog or equivalent, CI/CD.

Responsabilités

• Own the architecture, reliability and governance of the team's Databricks lakehouse.
• Design and operate batch and streaming ingestion pipelines from the CluePoints platform.
• Co-develop SQL, Python and PySpark transformations with analysts; optimize for performance and cost.
• Productionize AI prototypes with testing, orchestration, monitoring and deployment controls.
• Build automated data-quality controls, monitoring and alerting; resolve pipeline incidents.
• Implement governance: naming, metadata, lineage, tagging and Unity Catalog access controls.
