SEIDOR in Brussels is seeking a Database Architect to design and optimize data models and database architectures. You will work onsite with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities include data analysis, database design, implementation, and integration with diverse data sources, plus documentation and audits. A strong background in relational and NoSQL databases and Agile practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with data modelling and database design techniques.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL; knowledge of MQL and CQL is a plus.
• Familiar with database security, release management and agile software practices.

• Analyze data requirements and model datasets for scalable systems.
• Design and implement robust database architectures and schemas.
• Reverse engineer existing databases; integrate with other systems.
• Develop, test and maintain database components and integrations.
• Provide technical documentation and best-practice guidelines.

• Data analysis and modelling
• Database design and implementation
• Reverse engineering of existing databases
• Development, maintenance and integration of database components
• Integration with other databases
• Elaboration of test programs
• Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models and databases
• Writing of technical documentation
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
• Troubleshooting and optimization
• Provision of technical evaluations and audit reports of databases
• Risk analysis
• Participation in meetings with the project teams
