Spektrum in Belgium seeks an experienced Database Administrator to manage installation, configuration, upgrades, and backups of SQL Server both on-premises and in the cloud, and to design data collection, transformation, and integration across multiple RDBMS platforms.

You will monitor performance, reliability, and capacity, develop automation tools, and support migrations involving Azure and other cloud services.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience implementing HA/DR solutions including Always On, Failover Clustering, replication, and backup/recovery.
• Experience with cloud databases, especially Azure SQL, and other platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB).
• Proficiency in PowerShell, T-SQL, and Python for automation and scripting.

Responsabilités

• Manage installation, configuration, upgrades, and backups of database systems on-premises and in the cloud.
• Design, develop, and maintain data collection, transformation, and integration processes across multiple RDBMS platforms.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity; proactively resolve issues to ensure service delivery.
• Develop automation tools, scripts, and workflows for database administration and reporting.
• Produce reports and templates to support configuration management and lifecycle tracking.
• Support migrations and modernization involving Azure and other cloud services.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cloud engineering teams for performance and scalability.
• Maintain data governance and quality standards across reporting/integration processes.
• Stay current with database roadmaps, driving lifecycle, security, and reliability improvements.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.
