HumanInTech in Belgium is seeking an experienced data engineer/architect to lead the Microsoft Fabric implementation for a social insurance fund. You will drive the foundation, architect Medallion patterns, and deliver production-ready Fabric data solutions.

The role includes coaching the internal team, delivering workshops, and ensuring smooth handover to maintain long-term ownership, with a four-month assignment starting as soon as possible, in a hybrid Ghent office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience implementing Microsoft Fabric in production environments.
• Strong track record building Medallion Architectures, data pipelines, and Fabric-based data solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, notebooks, and modern data engineering workflows.
• Familiarity with Power BI, DevOps practices and tools.
• Excellent communication and training skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Team player who can both lead initiatives and work collaboratively.
• Hands-on problem solver, not just a designer or architect.
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch or French.
• Full professional proficiency in English.

Responsabilités

What you will do

You will support a Belgian social insurance fund on their Microsoft Fabric implementation journey. Initially, you will be the driving force behind the implementation, building the foundation and demonstrating optimal approaches. As the project progresses, you will transfer knowledge to the internal team through structured coaching and training.

Your responsibilities include:

• Support the end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric, from foundation to production-ready solutions
• Design and build a Medallion Architecture within Fabric, following industry best practices
• Develop scalable, reliable data pipelines using Python notebooks and Fabric Data Engineering tools
• Integrate Power BI DevOps practices into the data development workflow
• Provide hands-on coaching, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions to upskill the internal data team
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and ensure smooth handover for long-term ownership

This assignment runs for four months, until the end of December 2026, starting as soon as possible. You will work hybrid from Ghent.
