Job summary

Unilever Food Solutions seeks a Data Engineer to build and maintain data systems, turning raw data into structured formats for analytics. You’ll shape the Global Data Lake and data warehouse, enabling reporting, analyses, and automated processes.

You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and architects, ensure data quality, and stay current with industry standards to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Statistics, Analytics or related field.
• 5+ years of working experience in data/BI roles.
• Proven track as a data professional in high-paced, executive environments.
• Experience with data science tools (e.g. R).
• Background as data engineer, software developer or similar.

Responsibilities

• Turn raw data into structured datasets for analysis and decision-making.
• Own the data structuring end-to-end to enable reporting and analyses.
• Build algorithms and prototypes for predictive/prescriptive modelling.
• Improve data quality and reliability to boost productivity and meet business goals.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and architects across central and local teams.
• Ensure work is backed up and accessible to colleagues and stay up-to-date with industry standards.
