SquareDev in Brussels seeks an Engineer to join EU public sector teams, focusing on data engineering, analytics and AI-enabled capabilities. You will design, develop and deploy core platform components for processing structured and unstructured data to support reporting and advanced analytics.

The ideal candidate has experience building ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake/warehouse architectures, and AI/ML on text data, with strong DevOps and English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines and data lake/warehouse architectures.
• Ability to integrate structured and unstructured data end-to-end.
• Experience in analytics development, data modelling, and AI/ML on text data with explainability.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Git, CI/CD and pipeline automation.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Building and maintaining data pipelines across structured and unstructured sources, including batch and near-real-time ingestion.
• Performing data cleansing, validation, standardization, metadata tagging, and data lineage support.
• Contributing to the Data and Product Catalogue and implementing data quality checks and monitoring.
• Designing solutions that merge structured data with unstructured data into reusable data products.
• Supporting AI-driven processing of document-centric data and AI-enabled use cases with explainability and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Automating pipelines and reporting workflows, and implementing event-driven processing and monitoring.
• Implementing security controls (IAM, encryption, audit logging) and supporting secure environments.
• Building modular, scalable platform components using open standards/APIs and integrating with existing EDA systems.
