Job summary

Unilever in Belgium/Netherlands seeks a Data Engineer for Benelux Reports to build and maintain data systems, creating clean datasets and improving data reliability to support reporting and analytics.

The role involves end-to-end data structuring, collaboration with data scientists and analysts, and contributing to scalable data lake/warehouse infrastructure to enable predictive insights and automated processes. Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Statistics, Analytics or related field
• 5+ years of working experience
• Proven track as a Data professional in high-paced environments
• Experience in Data science tools (e.g. 'R')
• Background as a data engineer or software developer

Responsibilities

• Turn raw data into structured data for reporting and analyses
• Shape and improve the Global Data Lake and Data Warehouse solution
• Own end-to-end data structuring to support reporting and automation
• Build algorithms/prototypes for data extraction and transformation for modelling
• Enhance data quality and reliability to boost productivity
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and architects across teams
• Ensure work is backed up and accessible to colleagues
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards and tech advances
