LittleBig Connection in Belgium is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead for a Warehouse Management team in the automotive industry, based in Gent. You will combine hands-on data engineering with technical leadership to design, develop and improve modern data solutions in an international setting.

You will collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers and other Tech Leads across Belgium and India, taking part in development, testing, deployment and knowledge sharing while driving data

Qualifications

• Fluent in English; Dutch a plus.
• Hands-on data engineering with Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with batch and streaming data, workflows and Unity Catalog.
• Strong teamwork, communication and proactive mindset.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and improve modern data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop and maintain data solutions based on batch and streaming technologies.
• Develop and manage workflows and data processing.
• Work with Unity Catalog.
• Contribute to data modeling and transformation rules with stakeholders.
• Take part in development, IT testing, UAT and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers and other Tech Leads.
• Contribute to technical discussions and propose improvements.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead to join a Warehouse Management Team within the automotive industry, in the context of a key replacement assignment.

You will be part of a global and international team, working alongside experienced Data Engineers, Tech Leads and Data Architects. The role combines strong hands‑on data engineering expertise with a technical leadership dimension, contributing to the design, development and continuous improvement of modern data solutions in an international and collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities

• Design, build and improve modern data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop and maintain data solutions based on batch and streaming technologies.
• Develop and manage workflows and data processing.
• Work with Unity Catalog.
• Contribute to data modeling and transformation rules in collaboration with the relevant technical and data stakeholders.
• Take part in development, IT testing, UAT and deployment activities.
• Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers and other Tech Leads.
• Contribute to technical discussions, challenge existing approaches and proactively propose solutions and improvements.
• Share knowledge and work closely with Tech Leads across Belgium and India.

Your profile

• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer, with a hands‑on approach.
• Solid experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with batch and streaming technologies, workflows and Unity Catalog.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative, propose solutions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Comfortable working in an international team.
