Cegeka in Belgium is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to shape a modern data ecosystem built on Microsoft Fabric, Azure and advanced analytics platforms. You will design and scale data pipelines, lead data-architecture decisions and mentor teams within a strategic healthcare data transformation initiative.

We value 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, and hands-on experience with Spark/Hive, Azure data services and Synapse.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong SQL and Python expertise.
• Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms.

Are you an experienced Data Engineer ready to help shape and scale a modern data ecosystem built on Microsoft Fabric, Azure and advanced analytics platforms?

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Data Engineering Lead to join a strategic data transformation initiative within a leading Belgian organization active in the healthcare sector.

What you'll be doing

• Designing, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and integrations


• Developing scalable Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Data Mart solutions


• Implementing data quality, monitoring and observability practices


• Supporting BI, Analytics and Data Science teams with trusted datasets


• Driving data engineering standards, best practices and architecture decisions


• Coaching and mentoring teams while contributing to the long-term data roadmap

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer


• Strong SQL and Python expertise


• Experience with Spark, Hive or similar Big Data technologies


• Strong knowledge of Azure Data Services and/or AWS


• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory or equivalent platforms


• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and cloud-based data architectures


• Understanding of Data Quality, CI/CD and DevOps principles for data platforms
