LittleBig Connection is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead to join our Warehouse Management Team in the automotive sector on a key replacement assignment. You will work within an international team of Data Engineers, Tech Leads and Data Architects, combining hands-on data engineering with technical leadership to design and improve modern data solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / Tech Lead to join a Warehouse Management Team within the automotive industry, in the context of a key replacement assignment.

You will be part of a global and international team, working alongside experienced Data Engineers, Tech Leads and Data Architects. The role combines strong hands-on data engineering expertise with a technical leadership dimension, contributing to the design, development and continuous improvement of modern data solutions in an international and collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities

• Design, build and improve modern data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Develop and maintain data solutions based on batch and streaming technologies.
• Develop and manage workflows and data processing.
• Work with Unity Catalog.
• Contribute to data modeling and transformation rules in collaboration with the relevant technical and data stakeholders.
• Take part in development, IT testing, UAT and deployment activities.
• Collaborate closely with Data Architects, Data Engineers and other Tech Leads.
• Contribute to technical discussions, challenge existing approaches and proactively propose solutions and improvements.
• Share knowledge and work closely with Tech Leads across Belgium and India.

Your profile

• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer, with a hands-on approach.
• Solid experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark and SQL.
• Experience with batch and streaming technologies, workflows and Unity Catalog.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative, propose solutions and contribute to technical decisions.
• Comfortable working in an international team.
