Job summary

Vector Synergy is seeking a BI/Data Engineer with proven expertise in SQL Server, SSRS/SSIS/SSAS and data warehouses. You will design and implement reports and dashboards, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure data accessibility, integrity and security across sources.

The role involves ETL development, Power BI, SharePoint administration, and scripting in C#, Python or R. You will validate reports with users and maintain data handling procedures, contributing to a robust analytics platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSRS/SSIS/SSAS.
• Experience with data warehouse design.
• Experience with ETL processes.
• SharePoint administration experience is desirable.
• Competence with programming languages such as C#, Python, and R.
• Experience with dashboard development using Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Takes responsibility for the accessibility, retrievability and security of specific subsets of data.
• Assesses the integrity of data from multiple sources (including, Data from sensors measurement systems or ticketing systems).
• Maintains and implements information handling procedures.
• Compile user requirements and specifications for reports.
• Design, create and test SQL reports using SSRS, Power BI and Excel.
• Validate report functionality with internal staff/end users.
• Respond to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reports.
• Design/develop ETL processes, data models and data warehouses.
