Stoïk, Europe’s leading insurtech for cyber risk, is seeking a Senior Cyber Underwriter to strengthen its Benelux team. You will underwrite and price cyber risks for Mid-Market companies, guided by policy, risk appetite, and authority limits, joining a fast-growing start-up with a hybrid work model.

You will support commercial teams at broker and client meetings, collaborate with sales, Incident Response, and Claims to align on threat intelligence and trends, and bring 5+ years of cyber

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a cyber underwriter.
• Strong financial acumen and understanding of cyber security frameworks.
• Collaborative, solution‑oriented mindset to support sales efforts.
• Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English.

What your future may hold

To further strengthen the growth of its team in Belgium, Stoïk is looking for a Senior Cyber Underwriter.

You will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Underwrite and price Cyber risks for Mid-Market companies, in accordance with company guidelines, risk appetite, and authority limits;
• Monitor and manage the financial performance of the Benelux Cyber book, reporting directly to the Head of Underwriting based in Paris;
• Actively support and empower the commercial teams by accompanying them to strategic broker and client meetings to help secure key accounts, rather than focusing purely on direct relationship building;
• Collaborate closely with the sales teams to drive cyber awareness and pipeline growth across the region;
• Work hand-in-hand with the Incident Response teams (CERT) and Claims departments to ensure alignment on threat intelligence and claims trends.
• You have minimum 5 years of relevant experience as a cyber underwriter gained within a reputable insurance company, a Managing General Agent (MAG), or a specialised broker;
• You have a proven track record of handling cyber risks in the Benelux market, with a strong understanding of SME and mid-market business dynamics;
• You bring a strong financial acumen, a technical understanding of cyber security frameworks, and a highly collaborative, solution-oriented mindset to effectively support sales efforts;
• You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch and English. Other languages are a plus;
• You are humble and enjoy working in a fast-growing start-up.
