Sompo is seeking a Senior Cyber Underwriter for Belgium & Netherlands to support growth and profitability in Cyber and Financial Lines. The role involves sourcing submissions, underwriting, pricing, and managing client/broker relationships across Belgium and the Netherlands.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in cyber underwriting, a relevant qualification, strong networking skills, and fluency in Dutch and English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• A recognised qualification in law, economics, finance and/ or IT engineering.
• 5+ years in Cyber Insurance underwriting.
• Experience building profitable Cyber Insurance books in Europe.
• Strong networking with clients and brokers in Belgium and Netherlands.
• Dutch and English at working level; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to growth and profitability of Sompo International’s Cyber Insurance portfolio by underwriting, pricing, and managing the book across Belgium & Netherlands.
• Manage relationships with clients and brokers while developing new business opportunities.
• Help build a well-diversified risk profile and segmentation for the Cyber book.
• Analyze underwriting information to ensure terms are aligned with guidelines.
• Negotiate contracts, attend broker meetings, and conduct underwriting reviews.
• Promote Sompo’s footprint and cross-sell other Specialty Lines products.
