Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant Cyber Defense for Belgium/Europe to help strengthen clients' cyber resilience. You will work on diverse engagements that combine technology, security operations and business priorities, delivering pragmatic recommendations and roadmaps.

The role emphasizes advisory work, collaboration with EY's global network, and ongoing development of cybersecurity services in a fast-evolving environment. Fluency in English plus Dutch or French is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, Business Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in security operations, cyber defense or related cybersecurity domain.
• Solid understanding of security operations: monitoring, detection, response, vulnerability management and governance.
• Ability to translate technical challenges into business impact for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong expertise in defensive security and SOC technologies (SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, threat intelligence, automation, AI).
• Assess, design and improve security operations capabilities across people, process and technology.
• Engage with clients throughout assessments, workshops, design and implementation initiatives.
• Act as a trusted subject matter expert, contribute to EY offerings and translate emerging technologies into client opportunities.
