Job summary

EY Belgium is seeking a Senior Consultant Cyber Defense to fortify client defenses across Europe. You will combine hands-on security operations with advisory delivery, leveraging EY’s global network and technology ecosystem.

You will work with financial institutions to design and implement defensive security programs, SIEM/EDR, threat intelligence and automation, while developing your expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, Business Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in security operations, cyber defense or related cybersecurity domain.
• Strong understanding of security operations, including monitoring, detection and response, vulnerability management and governance.
• Ability to translate technical challenges into business impact for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Interest in business development and solution design; experience with proposals or client pursuits is a plus.
• Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies in cybersecurity.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, ISO 27001 or GIAC/SANS are a plus.
• Fluent in English and Dutch or French.

Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise & Innovation: maintain strong expertise in defensive security and SOC technologies, including SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, threat intelligence, automation and AI.
• Security Operations Advisory & Transformation: assess, design and improve security operations capabilities across people, process and technology.
• Client Engagement & Delivery: work closely with clients through assessments, workshops, design and implementation initiatives.
• Thought Leadership & Business Development: act as a trusted SME, contribute to EY offerings and translate trends into client opportunities.
