Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a senior IT procurement professional to drive strategic IT procurement files for software and IT services in a hybrid Brussels-based setup. You will coordinate tenders, negotiate with vendors, and govern strategic contracts to maximize value and continuity.

The role requires extensive IT legal advisory experience, public sector procurement exposure, and fluency in English, Dutch, and French.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT Legal advisory within Sourcing or Contract Management for software-related projects.
• 2+ years of experience in public sector procurement specifically for software or IT services.
• Expertise in the RFP lifecycle, including drafting procurement documents, specifications, and managing evaluation processes.
• Proven track record in managing a portfolio of critical IT contracts and optimizing financial impacts.
• Strong project management skills to coordinate timelines and stakeholders across complex dossiers.
• Professional and solution-oriented approach to complex dispute management and high-level negotiations.
• You are fluent in English, Dutch, and French with C1 level proficiency in Dutch or French and at least B2 in the others.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end complex IT procurement files and define acquisition strategies aligned with the digital roadmap.
• Coordinate public tender procedures for goods and services, including strategy definition and technical negotiation.
• Manage the full governance of strategic IT contracts, monitoring performance through SLA and KPI tracking.
• Serve as the primary liaison for strategic vendors, handling escalations and negotiations up to C-level.
• Identify proactive risks and implement corrective actions to ensure service continuity and contract value optimization.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to draft technical specifications and conceptualize pricing mechanisms.
