Kazarma Consulting is seeking a freelance (Senior) Contract Manager specialized in Security for a Brussels-region assignment. The role focuses on timely execution of contract management tasks within IT security domains.

You will lead cyber security sourcing, coordinate IT hardware and software procurement, manage a portfolio of IT contracts, and ensure compliance with public procurement regulations, working closely with the CISO team, procurement, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Contract or Vendor Management within IT.
• Experience with cybersecurity, software, or IT hardware procurement.
• Public-sector or government procurement experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT and procurement processes.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch, French and English.

About the role:

For one of our clients in region of Brussels we are looking for a (Senior) Contract Manager. The role is focussing on timely execution of all contract management related tasks, and predominantly in the IT Security domains. The assignment is for up to 36 months of duration.

Objectives:

The Contract & Vendor Manager will join the Purchase IT, Contract & Vendor Management department, which is part of the wider IT organisation. The role combines contract and vendor management, IT sourcing, stakeholder management and procurement activities in a technically complex environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Cybersecurity sourcing

Lead the day-to-day coordination between the CISO team, Contract Management and Procurement to define and execute the most effective sourcing strategy for cybersecurity products and services. Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are aligned with the chosen strategy and its implementation.

IT hardware & software sourcing

Coordinate between operational IT teams and Procurement for hardware and software sourcing activities, ensuring that business and technical requirements are properly translated into procurement requirements.

Lead the preparation and design of requests for quotation / tender documentation, support the evaluation and selection of suppliers, and coordinate contract awards in line with applicable public procurement regulations. In doing so, contribute directly to the implementation of the IT sourcing strategy.

Manage an assigned portfolio of IT contracts and suppliers on a day-to-day basis, working closely with IT colleagues to monitor contractual performance, supplier relationships and ongoing obligations.

Public procurement compliance

Ensure that procurement and contract management processes are carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations applicable to public-sector procurement. Experience with government or public-sector procurement is considered a strong advantage.

Act as a central point of coordination between technical teams, CISO, Procurement, Contract Management and other stakeholders. Build alignment and maintain effective working relationships in a complex environment..

Expected Experience, Skills and Tools:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Contract Management, Vendor Management or a similar role within an IT environment.
• Relevant experience with cybersecurity, software and/or IT hardware.
• Experience with government, public-sector or other regulated procurement environments is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of IT processes, procurement processes and business processes in general.
• Comfortable working in a technical environment and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder-management and coordination skills.
• Good working knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
