BDO Belgium in Gent/Roeselare is seeking a Senior Consultant Accountancy to act as a trusted advisor, transforming financial data into strategic insights for a diverse client base. You will manage client accounts, deliver pragmatic financial guidance, and support their journeys from start to finish.

You will also mentor junior colleagues and strengthen leadership capabilities while delivering accurate financial results, VAT returns, and annual tax filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or Economics.
• At least 2 years of significant accounting experience with solid technical skills.
• ITAA certification is a plus (we’ll support your journey).
• Fluency in Dutch and proficiency in English; French is a plus.
• Curious mindset with creative problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration and ability to express analytical insights clearly.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage various client accounts.
• Provide personalised financial advice through regular client visits.
• Update clients' financial results and prepare interim balance sheets.
• Manage VAT returns and compile annual financial statements and tax returns.

What will you be doing?

Asa Senior Consultant Accountancy,you'll collaborate closely with managers and partners to:

• Independently manage various client accounts.
• Offer your clients personalised and pragmatic financial advise through regular visits. You’re their go-to business advisor, carrying them from point A to point Z.
• Tackle detailed financial tasks: update clients’ financial results, prepare interim balance sheets, manage VAT returns, and compile annual financial statements and tax returns.
• Develop future talent by mentoring junior colleagues while building your leadership skills.
