Planet Pharma is seeking an experienced Senior CAPEX Procurement professional to join a major greenfield investment project in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, covering labs, manufacturing areas, utilities and supporting infrastructure.

The role is hands-on and end-to-end, owning CAPEX packages from sourcing strategy to contract award and supplier execution, working with engineering, project teams and suppliers in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of CAPEX procurement experience.
• Experience managing packages worth several million euros.
• Experience on large-scale investment projects (€50M+ CAPEX).
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop sourcing strategies for assigned CAPEX packages.

Description du poste

We are looking for an experienced Senior CAPEX Procurement professional to join a major greenfield investment project in Braine-l’Alleud, involving the construction of a new production facility, including laboratories, manufacturing areas, utilities and supporting infrastructure.

This is a hands-on procurement role, focused on independently managing procurement packages from sourcing strategy through to contract award and supplier execution.

The Role

You will take ownership of assigned CAPEX procurement packages, working closely with engineering, project teams, suppliers and category management.

You will be responsible for:

• Developing sourcing strategies for assigned CAPEX packages
• Leading RFI, RFQ and RFP processes from start to finish
• Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers
• Working with engineering teams to define and clarify scopes of work
• Managing competitive tenders and commercial evaluations
• Conducting benchmarking and business case assessments
• Leading supplier and commercial negotiations
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
• Managing supplier relationships throughout project execution
• Monitoring supplier performance, risks, change orders and claims
• Working with Category Managers to ensure alignment with procurement strategy
• Providing regular reporting on procurement progress, risks and key decisions
• Ensuring procurement governance, standards and sustainability requirements are met

About You

We are particularly interested in senior procurement professionals with:

• 8–10+ years of procurement experience
• A proven track record managing procurement packages worth several million euros
• Experience working on large-scale investment projects, ideally €50M+ CAPEX environments
• Strong strategic sourcing and tender management experience
• Proven expertise in supplier negotiation and commercial management
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation and management experience
• Experience managing suppliers during project execution, including claims, change orders and scope changes
• Exposure to engineering, construction, technical services, manufacturing or other industrial environments
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge stakeholders when required
• Ability to work autonomously while operating effectively within a complex, matrix project environment
• Fluent French and English

Experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences sector is a strong advantage but is not essential. Candidates from large-scale industrial, engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy or similar CAPEX environments are also encouraged to apply.
